TW Newsletter 28.10.19

Nordic greetings,

Welcome to a new week, and the struggle of the shorter days for a few months. Don’t let this stop you though, there’s still plenty of opportunity to get outside and if you’ve never done it you may want to try exercising in the dark, it’s quite rewarding and sets you up for a great night’s sleep! Join us this week for a spooktacula Halloween walk on Thursday evening at 6.30pm.

The Penshurst circular welcomed us back on Saturday morning, despite the wind we got round in good time. Join us there on the 9th and see the splendid views of the historic estate for yourself.

This week’s schedule:

This Wellbeing session is a lot of fun and we have a large group attending now. Come along of you’d like to ease into exercise gently, are overweight, inactive or elderly.

29th October 8th October Gentle Nordic wellbeing at Muskerry Court

Remember the new time for Tread into Tuesday, this week starting at Dunorlan and working our way round three of TW’s fabulous parks:

29th October 3.30pm Tread into Tuesday

Back to the western side of town this week for a spooky Halloween Urban cardio Adventure; more street pounding with stops for lunges & squats. What are you waiting for?

31st October 6.30pm Urban Cardio Adventure

Apologies no adventure walk this Saturday

New Learn to Nordic walk course begins Saturday. Two spaces left if you’ve been putting it off, act now!

2nd November 10am Learn to Nordic walk with Emily – Gear 1—Gear-1

Looking ahead: On November 16th at 2pm I’ll be running a Nordic walk for all! This is your chance to bring your partners or friends along. No need to have done the Learn to Nordic walk course, but I do need everyone to book. New walkers will be taken through the registration process as you did when you signed up but I’ve set it up so anyone can attend. Poles provided for newbies. We’ll walk about 3 miles ending with tea and crumpets at the Nevill golf club. Book now and pop it in your diary!—All-welcome!

See you all soon for fresh air fitness & fun.
