Nordic News 3rd May 2021

No Monday blues this week, not just because it’s a bank holiday but also because I spent yesterday morning soaking up nature on our Dawn Chorus woodland walk. It left me and I hope all of you who came, feeling calm and aware of the positive hormones that were released. To be at one with nature at such an early hour was utterly blissful. We were mindful of your surroundings and focused in on our breath and our senses. A very healing experience for all and thankfully the birds showed up and played their essential part!

The Learn to Nordic all course that ended on Saturday has been a lot of fun to teach, you were a great bunch and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Don’t forget to book your free session by letting me know when you’d like to come along and walk with my jolly regulars who march their way across field and woodland whatever the weather!

Reminder: Shop and drop cut off Thursday 8th 5pm. Purchase any new poles, new paws, hip bags for water bottles, sun hats etc. you can add your order to avoid the £5 delivery charge. At the point of delivery on the final page of your order you will need to go to the drop-down box and choose my name and address (Emily Butler). Link to the online store here:

I will be joining Carole this week on her Tuesday evening hike, join us, it looks like a spectacular route for enjoying the sunset.

Note from Carole: Saturday morning’s Motts Mill March saw Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells posse walking together in the early morning sunshine and at last the bluebells were out and were looking glorious.  At the peak of this walk we skirt around the back of Penns in the Rocks, which is a beautiful 18th Century house with an ornamental garden.  They only open up the garden a few times each year and the next time is 15th May.  A couple of people were interested in potentially going…. Sue Bamblett is going so if you are interested in joining her, please let me know ( and I can pass on your details to Sue.  That’s my day for 2nd jab, so I will see how I am on the day, if it’s not too late. Details here:
