News 5th July 2021

Unlike the usual newsletter there hasn’t been all that much going on this last week as Carole and I both had family commitments over the weekend. The rain has been making the summer routes very muddy which is a shame, so we’ve had to improvise or get good at leaping over the mud! Here’s hoping July & August will bring some better weather.

The summer schedule is bursting with a variety of different walks so check it out here:

If it’s been a while since you joined us dust off those poles and get involved. There are large groups on many of the regular walks now but always room for more, the more the merrier!

The upcoming week look like this:

Tuesday 6th July 9.30am – Wellbeing walk from Dunorlan Park

Tuesday 6th July 7.30pm Ashdown Evening Hike with Carole – Old Lodge Nature Reserve—Old-Lodge-Nature-Reserve

Thursday 8th July 6.30pm Push the Pace, Bidborough North west slopes

Saturday 10th July 8.30am Step into shape on Saturday – Speldhurst Road to Hurstwood—Speldhurst-Road-to-Hurstwood.

Also Saturday 10th at 6pm, our long-awaited social event at the Cross Keys Pub! Lots of you are booked to come but if you still haven’t confirmed please do so here and I will confirm final numbers with the pub later this week.

Sunday 11th July 12noon Groombridge Withyham Loop

Roll up, roll up……not many of you have booked your place for the FREE Technique Refresher Training workshop on August 14th at 10.30am. What are you waiting for? Read all about it here:

Looking forward to seeing you all soon and perhaps welcoming some old faces back (ok, less of the old!)

Emily & Carole
